Job Opportunity: School Site Officer (Temp to Perm) - SEN School Location: Location: Peterborough Working Hours: 2:00pm - 6:00pm, Monday to Friday Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent Simply Education is proud to be working with a specialist SEN school in Peterborough to recruit a reliable and proactive School Site Officer. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, ideal for someone looking to make a real difference in a rewarding environment while working part-time afternoons. About the Role: As the School Site Officer, you will play a vital role in keeping the school site clean, safe, and secure. You will be responsible for the general upkeep of the premises during the afternoon shift and ensuring the site is safely locked at the end of the day. Key Responsibilities: Securing and locking up the school site each afternoon Carrying out basic maintenance, repairs, and caretaking duties Ensuring cleanliness and tidiness of external areas Conducting regular site checks to ensure a safe environment Assisting with contractors and any evening lettings when required Reporting any health and safety concerns What We're Looking For: Experience in a site officer, caretaker, or facilities role is desirable A practical and hands-on approach to work Awareness of health & safety practices Ability to work independently and reliably Respectful and understanding of the needs of pupils in an SEN setting Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one via Simply Education) Safeguarding Statement: Simply Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
