Early Years Assistant – Blyth
A welcoming primary school in Blyth is seeking a dedicated and caring Unqualified Early Years Assistant to work 1:1 with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in their Early Years Foundation Stage. This position is to start after October half term and before Christmas.
As an Early Years Assistant, you will:
1. Provide 1:1 support for children with SEND, ensuring they can access all areas of learning
2. Assist the Nursery and/or Reception Teacher with classroom tasks, planning, and assessment
3. Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment that supports every child’s development
4. Work collaboratively as part of a caring, experienced Early Years team
About You
We are looking for someone who:
5. Is patient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting children with additional needs
6. Has experience working with young children, ideally in an Early Years or SEND setting
7. Communicates effectively and works well as part of a team
8. Is eager to develop skills and complete relevant CPD
