Overview
Teesside University is seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Photography in the School of Arts and Creative Industries.
You will hold a first degree in a relevant discipline or have an equivalent professional qualification or significant practical work experience and hold a PhD or equivalent doctoral qualification in photography and/or aligned disciplines. You must also be willing to achieve a relevant teaching qualification normally within two years of employment such as PgCLTHE Higher Education Academy, Associate Fellow or Senior Fellow accreditation.
You will have expertise in, and ability to teach, theoretical and practical photography at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
You will be required to contribute to curriculum development and must have a commitment to and demonstrable potential to undertake research, development and or scholarship to enhance teaching. The ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to contribute to marketing, recruitment and enhancement of teaching is essential. You should have highly developed oral and written communication skills, showing ability to communicate highly complex information to a range of audiences.
Contract details
This post is for 22.2 hours, or three days per week, fixed term, job share will be considered. If you wish to apply on a job share basis you must state this on your application.
