The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design and delivery of electrical systems within building services projects. This includes:
* Designing lighting and emergency lighting systems
* Developing LV distribution, fire alarm, access control, and security systems etc
* Producing technical drawings, schedules, specifications, and reports
* Carrying out cable and lighting calculations using industry software (e.g., Amtech, Dialux)
* Coordinating electrical design in a 3D environment (Revit) as part of the wider MEP team
* Attending client and project meetings, both in person and virtually
The role also involves mentoring junior team members and contributing to collaborative, cross-discipline design work. A professional institution membership (IET, CIBSE, or equivalent) is expected, with candidates working towards or having achieved Chartered status. Practical site experience and knowledge of installation methods are highly desirable.
