Join Our Team as a Support Worker
Location: Honiton, Devon, EX14
Salary: £12.30 per hour (£23,985 pro-rata) plus benefits.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, between 7.00am and 10.00pm, Monday to Sunday on a shift rota basis.
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Driving Requirement: A valid full UK manual driving license is desirable but not essential.
Right to Work: Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer any skilled worker visas.

We're looking for individuals to join our team who can stay calm under pressure, who are enthusiastic, proactive, and capable of handling challenging behaviors. If you have a manual UK driving license and are comfortable driving different vehicles, you're exactly who we're looking for.
What will you be doing?
As a Support Worker, you'll be more than just support—you'll be a key part of someone's journey towards living their best life. Here's what you'll be doing:
* Helping with personal care, meal preparation, medication, and other daily tasks.
* Getting to know the people you support, understanding their needs, and helping them live independently.
* Assisting with personal goals and encouraging creative exploration.
* Supporting activities like holidays, social events, hobbies, and community engagement.
* Ensuring respect, dignity, and equality for individuals and their families.
Who will you be supporting?
At Devon Support Service, we support 8 adults with disabilities including cerebral palsy, autism, learning disabilities, and brain injury. Support ranges from helping with daily chores to full support in all aspects of their day.
People at the Honiton location are very active, engaging in outings to shops, pubs, clubs, cinema, bowling, gym, and swimming. We participate in community activities, including interest meetings and supporting at a radio station where one of the supported individuals has a show.
