Bristol Royal Hospital for Children (BRHC) is the tertiary centre for children who come from the Southwest & South Wales for their appointments within Ambulatory services. An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the friendly & supportive Ambulatory team, Level 3 Outpatients Carousel & Level 5 Rainforest &/or level 5 Puzzle Wood providing a high standard of care to the children & their families when they not only visit the department but strive to present a good first impression of the Hospital.
Puzzle Wood is a small but dynamic team who work with all specialties, offering follow-up appointments, Rapid Access Clinics & Hot clinics. We also have 6 Beds which support a combination of Gastroenterology & Rheumatology Infusion therapies, Endocrine & Metabolic tests & Food/Allergy Challenges.
Carousel treats a high number of patients from a variety of specialities, including general medicine, dermatology, respiratory, cardiology & T&O to name only a few. Rainforest is a department caring primarily for burns & plastics injuries, but also covers other specialities such as spinal, neuromuscular & neurosurgery.
The successful candidate will need to work very well within a team and be self-motivated, with a passion for ambulatory care.
It will be desirable to have Venipuncture training and/or experience.
Carousel and Rainforest OPD and Puzzle Wood will involve flexibly working across the departments, as well as assisting in covering outlying clinics in St. Micheals and South Bristol Community Hospital
Both positions will include hours Mon-Fri 08:00-18:00 (not including BH), alongside some rotational weekend cover for Rainforest Burns and Plastics following training.
