At Merlin Entertainments, we bring joy to millions of people every year through our iconic attractions — from LEGOLAND and SEA LIFE to Madame Tussauds and the London Eye. Now, we’re on the lookout for a proactive, creative, and detail-oriented Social Media Executive to help bring our digital storytelling to life at Thorpe Park.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Content Creation & Scheduling
* Craft engaging, on-brand content (images, videos, copy, stories) across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, and YouTube.
* Keep our channels fresh with timely and exciting posts in line with our content calendar.
* Ensure all content is aligned with Thorpe Park’s voice and audience expectations.
Campaign Support
* Get hands-on with social media campaigns, competitions, influencer collaborations, and more.
* Help amplify our content through creative partnerships and engaging activations.
Community Management
* Be the voice of Thorpe Park online – respond to comments, join conversations, and build positive relationships with our community.
* Keep the buzz going by spotting engagement opportunities and trending conversations.
Analytics & Reporting
* Track key social media metrics like engagement, reach, and performance.
* Support in preparing reports and extracting insights to shape future strategy.
* Keep a pulse on how our audience feels, and feed that back to the wider team.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Working
* Partner with PR, Paid Media, and Digital teams to create consistent, standout campaigns.
* Share ideas and insights across teams to help amplify what works best.
Trendspotting
* Stay ahead of the curve with the latest social trends, memes, and platform updates.
* Keep an eye on our competitors and inspire the team with fresh, innovative ideas.
Qualifications & Experience
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
* 1–2 years' experience in social media or digital marketing (entertainment, travel, or hospitality a plus!).
* A deep understanding of social media platforms and how to create content that works for each.
* Familiarity with social media tools (like Hootsuite, Sprinklr) and analytics (Google Analytics, Meta Insights).
* Strong creative and copywriting skills with a great eye for detail.
* A passion for all things social and a natural flair for engagement.
* A collaborative mindset – ready to thrive in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.
