We are looking for a volunteer to be present at Byker Job Centre and offer information on recovery resources in the Newcastle area to people identified by the job centre staff who present with support needs. The role will involve attending Byker Job Centre at an agreed time. You will need to have up to date information regarding recovery resources available to people who request this information. For example- information on meetings, groups and relevant services. You will be expected to sit in on one to ones or to have one to one conversations regarding recovery support and to offer people hope and inspiration. The role requires an individual to have completed all Changing Lives required training and volunteer induction and to complete an enhanced DBS application. Applicants need to have good communication skills and have a good knowledge of recovery resources in the Newcastle area. You will be part of a team and will get regular support from a volunteer co-ordinator.
