The Intensive Life Skills (ILS) Pathway is a multi-disciplinary Mental Health Team providing assessment and intervention for adults 17+ experiencing complex emotional difficulties as part of the Adult Mental Health Service.

You will support the service as a highly skilled HCSW working with a highly psychologically minded, enthusiastic, dedicated and supportive team to support service-users who present with high levels of emotional distress and often have histories of complex trauma, neurodiversity and/or adverse experiences.

The pathway uses therapeutic models including Structured Clinical Management (SCM), attachment theory, behavioural theory, Compassion-Focussed Therapy, EMDR, Trauma-Focussed Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mentalisation-Based Treatment. The successful candidate will be offered to attend the (DBT) Dialectical Behaviour Therapy Essential skills training, to use the knowledge and skills learnt in combining individual and workshop-based interventions.

We actively support and encourage our employees to undertake subsequent training aiding their personal development.

You will need to travel independently over a large geographical area and will require suitable transport. As a Community Mental Health, Health Care Support Worker you will work with adults / older adults and, where appropriate and necessary their families or carers, to provide ongoing support, therapeutic interventions when agreed, practical assistance and problem resolution under the supervision of a senior team member.


Role Responsibilities:

* Providing an early response for those in crisis as part of an overall recovery plan.
* Contributing to a range of mental health intervention strategies as delegated by other team members.
* Working without direct supervision to undertake assessments and deliver interventions relating to individual needs.
* Organising and prioritising own workload on a daily basis.
* Implementing and help evaluate interventions, utilising a range of resources in order to achieve positive outcomes.
* Implement and support detailed care plans, outcome measures documentation, risk assessments and treatment programmes (including intervention Support Plans, mental health and multi-disciplinary care plans).
* Utilise appropriate outcome measures as part of evaluation of care and progress as part of our commitment to evidence based recovery.
