Quantity Surveyor Permanent Salford Competitive My client is a well-established northwest building contractor, who have an excellent reputation in the marketplace. Due to continuous project pipeline they require a Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team. The successful Quantity Surveyor will be tasked to plan, control, manage and ensure effective administration of the commercial and financial aspects of all contracts while ensuring complete compliance with the contract outlines. You will be commercially astute and involved in pricing works on selected projects. Ensuring the best possible value and profit is maintained during and closing of project delivery. The Quantity Surveyor will have previously worked on refurbishment construction projects. Their typical values range from £100K up to around £8million. They support clients in sectors including schools, leisure, and commercial. The role has some leading blue-chip clients that they have a long-standing relationship with. Key Responsibilities: • Maintain and develop commercial processes and procedures and maximize returns in terms of profit. • Manage and reduce unnecessary costs and inefficient activities. • Maximize cash flow through valuations, submission of invoices and receipt of payment. • Final Accounts management include variations, claims, and disputes. • Financial forecasting for use in setting targets and managing the business. • Regularly site visits to pick up any variations / cost implications • Monitoring resources and costs to ensure that the projects meet agreed targets.
