Job title: Human Resources Business Partner
Location: Southampton (hybrid – 1 day per week on-site)
Positions available: 1 full-time role and 1 part-time role (18.5 hours per week)
Pay: £24.46 per hour (PAYE) / £31.14 per hour (Umbrella)
Seven Resourcing is looking for two Human Resources Business Partners to join a local authority’s People & Organisational Culture team. These senior-level roles offer the opportunity to shape people strategy, influence organisational change, and support leaders across a large, diverse workforce.
What you'll do
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver people strategies that support service and organisational objectives.
* Provide expert advice on employee relations, performance, conduct, and engagement.
* Lead and support organisational change programmes and workforce redesign activity.
* Use HR data and analytics to identify trends and inform decision-making.
* Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal HR policies.
* Coach and mentor managers to improve leadership capability and people management.
* Build strong working relationships with leaders, employees, trade unions, and partners.
* Maintain high standards of documentation, reporting, and case management.
* Contribute to continuous improvement, risk management, and organisational development.
Qualifications
* Level 6 qualification or equivalent experience.
* CIPD Chartered status or significant HR partnering experience.
* Strong understanding of employment law, HR best practice, and public sector policies.
* Experience managing complex ER cases in a unionised environment.
* Proven ability to lead and support change initiatives.
* Strong communication, influencing, and analytical skills.
* Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
* Experience working with a wide range of stakeholders and building credible relationships.
