Social Care Officer - Family Time Worker
Location: Newcastle NE4
Hours: 37 per week, Monday-Friday
Contract: Until March 2026 (with strong potential for extension)

Newcastle is seeking a dedicated Social Care Officer to take on the key responsibilities of a Family Time Worker, helping to create safe, positive and nurturing experiences for children and families during supervised family time.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Facilitating and supervising family time sessions, ensuring the wellbeing and safety of children at all times
* Supporting families to build and strengthen relationships in line with care plans
* Maintaining accurate, high-standard records and observations
* Working closely with Social Workers, Family Support Teams and partner agencies
* Providing transport for children and young people as required
* Contributing to a warm, supportive, and person-centred service
What We’re Looking For
* A compassionate, reliable and proactive individual with experience in social care or working with children and families
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
* Strong organisational abilities and a calm, professional approach
* A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle for business use – this is essential
* Ability to work confidently and independently, as well as part of a supportive team
