Job Title: OfSTED SEN Quality and Compliance Consultant (Education Provisions - Contractor role)

Location: Across all UK regions

Salary: Competitive Day Rates (dependent on qualifications and experience)

Job Type: Contract Basis (Project-based)

Hours of work: Typically, Monday to Friday

With our evolving expansion, Delphi Care Solutions Task Force Team are now looking for passionate and diligent professionals with experience in the Special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) educational sub sector, to provide expert advice and support to educational institutions to help improve their SEND provision and meet inspection criteria. This will involve analysing SEND practices, identifying areas of improvement, and implementing strategies plans to enhance the quality of the education services across the UK for children who experience SEND. This role requires a deep understanding of the SEN code of practice, OfSTED regulations, excellent communication and analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.

In this exciting role, you will be responsible for:

* Leading the process of OFSTED registration for educational organisations, ensuring all necessary documentation, policies, and procedures are in place and compliant with regulatory requirements.
* Staying abreast with changes in OfSTED regulations, legislation and guidance, and update clients accordingly.
* Conducting audits of SEND provisions and identifying areas of success and development to create an action plan for the setting to improve their service.
* Providing leadership and support to staff, helping them understand best practices for working with SEND students.
* Working collaboratively with school leaders, SENco, teachers, and local authority officers to achieve best outcomes for children and improve the service.
* Assess the quality of education being delivered and ensure students are receiving the highest quality possible.
* Monitoring the quality of education provided and ensuring this meets the national minimum standards.
* Providing expert guidance and support to service providers in preparing for OFSTED inspections, including mock inspections and readiness assessments.
* Serving as a trusted advisor to clients, providing ongoing support and guidance on quality and compliance matters related to OfSTED regulations and requirements.
* Support the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students.
* Offer expert advice to support schools to create positive and inclusive learning environments.
* Understanding of the Education inspection framework and ability to advise settings on key insights within this.
* Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to promote social inclusion and reduce barriers to learning.
* Work in partnership with external agencies to ensure that children are provided with specialist support and resources for those with complex learning needs.

Requirements

About you

As an OfSTED consultant, you will be a highly organised individual, able to provide effective leadership and regulatory compliance in a diligent and professional way within our exciting and fast-paced projects. You must possess the ability to effectively work on both your own and as part of a team as well as holding good written and verbal communication skills. You will have strong analytical skills and will be a strategic thinker, whilst also being fluent in the current SEND laws, policies, guidelines and compliance procedures. You must be able to make decisions in line with what you think is achievable and thereafter deliver it.

Role Requirements:

* Experience working with children who present with Special Educational Needs (SEN) within an educational setting (Essential).
* Teaching qualification with relevant degree [QTS, PGCE, Bachelors etc.] (Desirable).
* Proven experience of working within a senior leadership role at an SEN educational provision (desirable).
* 5+ years’ experience of working in an educational setting.
* Minimum of 5 years working directly with SEND children and young people within education.
* In depth knowledge of OfSTED regulations and the Education Inspection Framework, specifically the SEND aspects.
* Previous training in specialised areas (e.g. autism, ADHD, Learning disabilities)
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
* A deep understanding of curriculum, development. Student learning needs, and current school policies and legal framework surrounding SEN is essential.
* Working knowledge of the Department for education’s guidance for independent special institutions and the independent special schools’ standards.
* Proven ability to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives and drive organisational change.
* Access to own vehicle with full UK driving licence.
* Enhanced DBS registered with the rolling update system.
