National Account Manager
Location: Remote
Salary: Up to £73,000 plus up to 40% sales bonus
An exciting opportunity with a market-leading insurer reshaping the UK protection and health insurance market. We seek a dynamic National Account Manager to join their distribution team and drive growth across key intermediary networks, nationals, and service provider channels.
The Role:
As a National Account Manager, you will be responsible for growing market share and premium income by promoting the insurer’s Life and Health propositions. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to develop and execute strategic plans, ensuring engagement and strong positioning within assigned accounts.
This role is field-based, acting as the "eyes and ears" within major distribution firms, identifying opportunities, influencing stakeholders, and shaping future propositions in the intermediary space.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive new and incremental business across Life and Health products
* Increase network market share and build brand advocates within each distributor
* Maintain and enhance panel positions with key accounts
* Develop and implement account-specific marketing and business plans
* Deliver presentations to national firms and practices
* Collaborate with internal sales teams for insights and strategic recommendations
* Identify and address barriers to adoption within intermediary processes
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
* Minimum 5 years of sales or technical experience within the UK intermediary or protection market
* FPC/QCF4 qualification or equivalent preferred
* Deep understanding of UK protection and health distribution channels
* Ability to influence at Board and RI levels
* Strong commercial and relationship management skills
* Confident in delivering sales and technical presentations
* Self-motivated and proactive, able to work independently
* Organizational skills with a collaborative mindset
