Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse specialising in Palliative Care to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in palliative settings, focusing on pain management and symptom relief.
* Assess patient conditions and develop tailored care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
* Educate patients and their families about palliative care options, treatment plans, and coping strategies.
* Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
* Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
* Advocate for patients' needs and preferences, ensuring their voices are heard in care decisions.
* Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care strategies and improve service delivery.
Experience
* A valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) is essential.
* Previous experience in palliative care or a related field is highly desirable.
* Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology, particularly as it relates to end-of-life care.
* Proven ability to provide compassionate patient care while managing complex emotional situations.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with patients and families.
