Billing & Operations Director
Location: Hybrid / Leicester. This role requires occasional travel to offices. Ideal location is within commuting distance to Leicester.
We are seeking a forward‑thinking leader to oversee the execution of non‑domestic energy billing to a value of about £4.5bn, ensuring compliant invoicing, risk mitigation, and efficient governance. The Director will manage back‑office functions such as Move journey, Renewals, Settlements, Continuous Improvement and workflow management.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the end‑to‑end billing process, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing across all customer segments.
* Drive transformation initiatives to improve billing efficiency, back‑office operations, and customer experience.
* Represent the Billing function at senior leadership forums, influencing commercial and operational strategy.
* Lead Operations functions to minimise cost and maximise margin, including outsourcing partners.
* Collaborate with Commercial, Finance, Customer Operations, Collections and Technology teams to align billing with broader business goals.
* Monitor billing performance metrics and report insights to drive strategic decisions.
* Champion continuous improvement and lessons‑learned initiatives across the organization.
Qualifications
* Extensive experience in the Energy sector.
* Previous experience in billing.
* Extensive knowledge of supply licence conditions and regulatory frameworks.
* Senior leadership experience.
This role is hybrid with an expectation to travel to our offices as required. A location within commuting distance to Leicester is ideal.
