Stuart Wells is a leading and experienced specialist groundwater engineering company undertaking groundwater control and borehole testing services, predominantly within the UK civil engineering industry.
We are looking for a Groundwater Engineer who will be predominantly site-based, supervising and delivering projects on civil and construction engineering sites across the UK, as well as carrying out office-based tasks. You will apply your knowledge and skills to real-world engineering problems and challenges. The position offers strong opportunities to develop both technical and commercial expertise.
We are seeking a candidate with relevant experience, although motivated graduates at entry level will be considered. If successful, you will work closely with our technical and project operations teams to implement dewatering designs and testing specifications. You will be involved in processing geotechnical and geological data to support the delivery of construction dewatering and related groundwater engineering services.
Roles & Responsibilities
* Supervising and supporting site operations in an effective, safe and professional manner.
* Ensuring our designs and specifications are implemented accurately and in accordance with consents.
* Overseeing drilling, well installations and pumping tests, ensuring compliance with our designs.
* Interpretating and processing data, proposals and drawings.
* Supporting our technical and operational team.
* Client liaison and coordinating with multidisciplinary project team.
Skills & Experience
* Experience in a related background such as Engineering, Geological or Geotechnical is preferable.
* Education to degree, HND or equivalent level is also desirable, but not essential.
* Ability to work independently on site or in the field, in various conditions.
* Be professional in your approach and judgement, with the ability to liaise at all levels.
* Full, clean UK driving licence – essential.
Working Hours
* Office: 08:00 to 17:00; Site (varies) 7:30 to 17:30

Location
Predominantly UK projects/ site based with occasional short periods at Head Office Shropham, Norfolk.
