Summary of position
We’re looking for a talented developer to join our UK-based development team in a fast-growing, energetic FinTech company. You’ll be part of an agile group of engineers building advanced solutions for recoveries portfolio management, supporting clients across banking, lending, utilities, and telecoms. Our mission is to empower these organisations with innovative technology that drives smarter recoveries and sets new standards for the industry.
As our Web & Mobile Developer, you’ll take the lead on developing our in-house platforms, which include both B2B and B2C applications. You’ll work hands-on with mobile and web technologies, collaborating closely with internal teams and external stakeholders. We’re looking for someone who is organised, analytical, and thrives in a team environment—an excellent communicator in English, both written and verbal, with a friendly and professional approach.
Key responsibilities
Reporting to the Lead Engineer the candidate will be required to:
* Design, build and configure web and mobile applications and APIs to meet business process and application requirements
* Support existing applications and platform
* Write testable, scalable and efficient code and lead code reviews
* Create wire frames and design and implement them
Required skills/experience
The ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in full software life cycle. They must be comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organisation with an expanding customer base.
In addition, the ideal candidate will have:
* Excellent Frontend Development skills: CSS, HTML, Bootstrap
* Excellent work experience with APIs, Web Applications
* Good understanding of SQL
* Excellent understanding of Mobile Application Development
* Good knowledge of programming and security best practices
* Good knowledge of coding best practices
* Good experience in unit testing and Integration testing
* Ability to use GitHub, DevOps
* Ability to produce software documentation
* Excellent support and troubleshooting experience
* Excellent knowledge of all MS Office Products
* And be an excellent communicator in English (Written and Verbal)
