They provide frontline services across Birmingham from 5 main divisions: Community Safety and Resilience, Highways and Infrastructure, Neighbourhoods, Regulation and Enforcement, and Street Scene. Role Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Support Officer to provide comprehensive administrative support to our Executive Support team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our team and contributing to the overall success of our City Operations through governance and compliance. This includes supporting with activities like Committee Reports, Audits, Business Planning, Business Continuity, Forward Planning, etc. Key Responsibilities: Provide high-level administrative support to the Executive Support team. Manage and coordinate schedules, meetings, and appointments. Prepare and distribute correspondence, reports, and presentations. Assist in the planning and execution of team events and projects. Maintain accurate records and documentation. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration. Perform other related duties as assigned such as minute-taking. Qualifications: Proven experience in an administrative or support role. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
