We're looking for a Plumbing Engineer who will support high‑quality service delivery within a healthcare environment. Roles and Responsibilities: Ensure service delivery maintains statutory, mandatory, and routine compliance at all times, with evidence readily available. Drive continual improvement through efficiency, added value, and best‑in‑class delivery. Positively contribute to account performance across revenue, profit, and cash. Develop and maintain open, honest relationships with key stakeholders, including within the Trust and SPV. Build strong working relationships with Mitie stakeholders and delivery partners. Main Duties: Undertake plumbing maintenance and reactive tasks in a healthcare environment, including mechanical planned and preventive maintenance. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation where safety and hygiene are critical. Develop and enforce water hygiene guidance, policies, and procedures in line with regulations. Conduct inspections of facilities, equipment, and workspaces to identify hygiene risks. Follow established safety, hygiene, and environmental guidelines. Recommend and implement improvements to strengthen water hygiene standards. Escalate any issues with reactive jobs or PPMs to the supervisor for rectification. Required Qualifications and Experience: Applicants must meet the requirements below: Basic to intermediate IT skills. Initiative‑taking and motivated to achieve excellence in a healthcare setting. Experience in acute healthcare premises (helpful but not essential). Strong adherence to Health & Safety policies and permit‑to‑work systems. Ability to communicate, co‑ordinate tasks, and deliver high standards of customer care. Plumbing and mechanical experience required, with onsite training available. Professional, confidential, and committed to further training as required by Mitie FM.
