Who You Are The Licensing Officer will have substantial knowledge in environmental health legislation with a focus on licensing law. Experience in dealing with licensing applications and liaising with a diverse range of stakeholders will be beneficial. Holding a relevant qualification in Environmental Health or Licensing, and having experience within a local authority will be advantageous. What the Job Involves The role involves supporting all aspects of licensing administration from handling applications to enforcement of relevant legislation. You will conduct inspections, provide expert advice, and work cross-divisionally to ensure compliance with Council policies and licensing laws. Contributing to the licensing objectives under various acts, preparing reports for sub-committee hearings, and undertaking enforcement actions are key duties. Additionally, you will maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and act as a subject lead in designated areas.
