Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:30 AM - 3:45 PM, 30-minute break)
Pay: £13.69 - £15.87 per hour

Reeson Education is seeking a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Salford (M7). This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting KS2 pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs.
As a Teaching Assistant in this role, you will provide a mix of 1:1 support and small group interventions, helping pupils to access learning, regulate behaviour, and thrive in a structured environment. The school is looking for a proactive Teaching Assistant who can build strong relationships, remain calm under pressure, and bring positivity into the classroom.
Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver 1:1 support for pupils with SEMH needs in KS2.
2. Work as a Teaching Assistant to provide group interventions that boost social, emotional, and academic progress.
3. Support teachers with planning and classroom activities.
4. Use positive behaviour management and de-escalation strategies.
5. Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to promote engagement.
6. Assist in creating a safe, supportive learning environment as a Teaching Assistant.
Teaching Assistant Requirements:
7. Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a UK school setting.
8. Understanding of SEMH needs and strategies for behaviour support.
9. Patient, adaptable, and resilient approach.
10. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
11. Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply).
12. Commitment to a full-time, long-term Teaching Assistant role.
