Role overview
The ServiceNow Delivery Consultant acts as both project manager and engagement lead for ServiceNow implementation projects. This role ensures successful delivery from initiation through go-live, maintaining high standards of governance, stakeholder alignment, and communication. The consultant combines delivery discipline with platform expertise to translate client needs into tangible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Project Leadership
Plan, manage, and deliver ServiceNow projects on time and within scope using agile or hybrid delivery approaches.
Act as Scrum Master where applicable.
* Stakeholder Management
Build strong, trusted relationships with client sponsors, business owners, and technical teams.
Facilitate alignment across functions and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
* Engagement Ownership
Serve as the primary client point of contact for assigned projects.
Oversee delivery quality, financial health, and client satisfaction.
* Governance & Reporting
Maintain RAID logs, status reports, project plans, and delivery documentation.
Identify risks and dependencies early and ensure prompt resolution.
* Delivery Coordination
Collaborate with architects, developers, and business analysts to ensure configuration aligns with requirements and follows best practices.
* Documentation & Quality
Ensure all artefacts (user stories, SoWs, test evidence, transition materials) are clear, consistent, and client-ready.
* Continuous Improvement
Contribute to standard delivery methods, templates, and accelerators to enhance efficiency and repeatability.
Required Skills & Experience
* Proven experience delivering ServiceNow or similar enterprise platform projects (ITSM, ITAM, ITOM, HRSD, etc.).
* Strong project management background, ideally within a consulting or system integrator environment.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills.
* High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
* Proficiency in project tracking tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, MS Project).
* Strong written communication and documentation standards.
* Understanding of ServiceNow platform capabilities and delivery lifecycle (stories, testing, UAT, go-live, transition).
Desirable
* ServiceNow certifications (CSA, ITSM, ITAM, or similar).
* PRINCE2, PMP, or Agile project management certification.
* Experience managing third-party or offshore delivery teams.
