The Body Happy Organisation is on a mission to tackle body shame early - before harm happens. We run the UK's first whole-school approach to body respect, combining CPD, pupil workshops, peer advocacy and curriculum resources. As a certified social enterprise, we reinvest everything into our mission to create a Body Happy world.
We are a multidisciplinary team - educators, health professionals, youth facilitators, creatives, researchers and campaigners - united by a shared belief in prevention, inclusion and long-term culture change. We believe every adult in a child's life has a role to play.
The Role:
We're growing our facilitator network and are looking for an experienced, values-aligned facilitator to deliver our programmes and workshops to children, young people and adults in schools and community settings. This role requires genuine commitment and real availability. Sessions are delivered during school hours across term time, and you'll need to be willing to travel - up to three hours from your base.
If you're based in or near North Northamptonshire, North London or Devon, that’s a significant advantage, though we welcome applications from elsewhere in the region.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Facilitating Body Happy programmes with children, young people and adults in schools and community settings
* Delivering sessions with warmth, expertise and a genuine commitment to inclusive, preventative education
* Working within a relational practice and trauma-informed framework
* Representing BHO's values and approach in every room you walk into
* Travelling to delivery locations as required (up to 3 hours from your base)
What We're Looking For:
* A strong track record as a facilitator with both children and adults
* Deep knowledge of body image and eating disorder prevention, working within a health gains, compassionate or HAES-informed framework
* Experience working within relational practice and trauma-informed frameworks, with a commitment to inclusive, person-centred delivery
* Experience working with children and young people with diverse learning needs; knowledge of contextual safeguarding is a bonus
* An enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
* A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
* Genuine, reliable availability between 8am and 6pm across term time
What We Offer:
* £30 per hour for facilitation time
* A contribution towards travel expenses
* Rich resources, frameworks and a supportive team to underpin your delivery
* Opportunities for ongoing professional development, reflective practice and team-building within the BHO team
* The chance to be part of a values-driven, joyful team doing genuinely important work
How to Apply:
Email Therese at hello@bodyhappyorg.com with a brief introduction covering:
* Your facilitation background
* Your experience with body image or related subject matter
* Why BHO's approach resonates with you
* Your location and availability
We review applications as they come in and are looking to appoint as soon as possible - so if this sounds like you, please don't delay in getting in touch
