Job Description
Our OEM Client based in Gaydon, is searching for a Vehicle Safety Test Engineer to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a 12-month contract position initially until 31st March 2026, with the potential for further extensions.
Umbrella Pay Rate: £27.03 per hour.
This role is based within Vehicle Safety Test Laboratory. This role is responsible for supporting and delivering physical test activity in a laboratory environment.
Key Performance Indicators:
* Tests completed to time and quality.
* Test record/report submission to time and quality.
* Test logging completed on time and quality.
* Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) Adherence.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
1. Assembly of test rigs and test properties to required specification.
2. Operation of rig control systems to ensure accurate and representative test conditions.
3. Operation of data acquisition and instrumentation systems to enable robust data collection.
4. Carry out rig inspection and maintenance, able to diagnose issues and ensure repairs are made in a timely and robust manner.
5. Conduct inspections of rig and test properties to support identification of issues and root cause.
6. Ensure test process documentation is completed to time and quality e.g. DART reports/records, logs, plans, issues.
