Overview
An exciting opportunity for a Service Manager in the Plastic Surgery, Burns & Vascular Surgery Services. This role provides operational support and leadership to services based across several hospital sites and collaborates with the General Manager, SDU Lead and Matron to deliver strategic and operational objectives.
Responsibilities
* Provide day-to-day operational management support for the Plastic Surgery, Burns & Vascular Surgery Services.
* Lead the administration teams and support the General Manager and Clinicians with project management and service improvement initiatives.
* Develop and implement projects to improve service delivery and patient experience; ensure performance and quality targets are met.
* Work across organisational boundaries to ensure appropriate services are in place and deliver national and local strategic and operational objectives and standards.
* Collaborate with the General Manager, SDU Lead and Matron to ensure efficient and effective day-to-day running of the Clinical Services; deliver key quality, performance and financial plans; drive service improvements; and line-manage staff within designated clinical units.
* Act as a key member of the Clinical Directorate management team and contribute to Directorate plans to meet objectives and improve healthcare delivery in the local health community.
* Provide timely, efficient and effective operational management support to ensure responsive services delivered to high clinical and performance standards.
Requirements
* Experience in operational management and leadership within clinical services.
* Ability to lead administration teams, manage projects and drive service improvements.
* Strong collaboration across organisational boundaries and with Clinical Directors, Matrons and General Managers.
* Commitment to delivering quality, performance and financial targets.
