The Learning Design team supports the Bank by creating impactful design solutions that meet the needs of our skills led transformation.
What you will be doing?
As the Learning Design Product Owner, you will play a critical role in delivering OSB Group’s Learning & Skill Strategy. The Learning & Skills team plays a pivotal role in delivering OSB Group’s priority to be “future-fit” for banking.
OSB Group has embarked on significant technology Transformation programme, which gives the organisation an exciting opportunity to transform it’s people eco-system. Transformation is being delivered at pace, using agile practices giving the entire organisation an opportunity to optimise their ways of working and approach to their own function’s skills to adapt for a transformed organisation.
The Learning Design Product Owner will lead a team participating in cross functional squads using agile learning practices to prioritise work and manage capacity across the team. They will inspire the team to deeply care about the business outcomes, looking to continuously improve the colleague experience, design pace and processes, and drive business impact.
Your responsibilities will include…
* Developing and implementing a design strategy that enhances learning engagement and retention
* Leading and inspiring a team of design specialists based in the UK and India to raise standards and develop culture of excellence
* Proactively partnering with the Learning teams and Business Function SMEs to bring ideas to life and solve real user problems to meet business needs
* Owning the end to end design process from discovery and prototyping to delivery and continuous improvement to include overseeing the development of learning branding, templates, infographics, e-learning visuals, animations, videos and interactive content
* Ensure high quality design output across various learning formats including facilitator lead training and e-learning – simplifying complexity to create intuitive, impactful learner journeys
* Innovate and implement new visual approaches, including the use of AI, VR, motion graphics and gamification, to improve digital experiences
* Maintain adherence to brand and corporate guidelines as well as consistency across all design assets, ensuring accessibility, usability and best practices
* Collaborate with technology teams, including the People Transformation & Skills Technology & Insight team, to enhance UX/UI design in all content and on OSB’s Learning Management System
* Take a ‘systems thinking’ approach designing learning journeys with consideration of all touch points during the colleagues end to end experience
* Ensure full visibility of the backlog, work in progress, flow and output of the work, escalating blockers and managing dependencies

We offer a competitive base salary depending on experience from £50,000 to £55,000 and a competitive benefits package including:

Do you have the skills?
We are looking for talented individuals who have the experience and knowledge set out below:
* Experience:
o Proven experience of people leadership and/or mentoring others grow in their design skills and careers
o Developing design and/or supporting others in use of e-learning through Articulate, Adobe, Figma, Vyond or equivalent tools and Gen AI and automation tools and creating motion graphics, Photoshop, InDesign, XD, and Illustrator
o Using a range of insight sources to deliver learning outcomes and impacting learning engagement
* Degree, qualification or equivalent professional development in design or customer experience are essential
