The Role
The Sourcing Specialist role is responsible for managing the supplier sourcing process for our clients. They will use the client's specification and their knowledge to source suitable suppliers to deliver those requirements (known as a project). Once a preferred supplier has been chosen by the client, the Sourcing Specialist manages the project from start to finish
This includes;
* Inputting and checking client requirements in developing a specification
* Identifying and recommending suitable suppliers for projects
* Running efficient and effective sourcing events
* Issuing work orders, purchase orders and other documentation
* Tracking delivery of project sourcing, ensuring clients approve work as completed, leading to supplier payment and satisfaction
* Support our suppliers in the use of our eSourcing platform
* Arranging contract management meetings when required
* Work collaboratively with all departments, reflecting our "One Bloom" mentality
* Identifying ways to improve the way we do things, with a view to making life better for your clients or colleagues
* Ensuring we meet our Social Value 3rd sector first approach
Skills and Experience Required
To be considered for the position of Sourcing Specialist we are looking for candidates to be able to demonstrate the following skill set and qualities:
* Excellent planning and organising skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Experience working in a client facing role
* Effective communication skills both verbal and written
* Excellent relationship building skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships, both internally and externally
* Good IT system skills, alongside experience of working with processes and data
* Strong attention to detail
* Experience of working as part of a successful team
* Call centre experience, central/local government, health authority, or education establishments is highly desirable

* Starting salary of £24,500 plus a potential 10% annual bonus
* Monday to Friday, hybrid working. Currently working 1 day per week from our office based in Newcastle City Centre
