What We Are Looking For
Rheinmetall BAE Systems Land (RBSL) designs, manufactures, and supports world-leading military vehicles. This is a unique opportunity to join a team developing, manufacturing, integrating, and testing advanced armored vehicles.
The individual will report to the ‘Team Leader Assembly & Integration’ and be responsible for the assembly, integration, and testing of systems & sub-systems of modular structures (Mission Module & Drive Module) of the BOXER armored vehicle, ensuring quality and standards compliance. Relevant qualifications and experience are required.
Shift work and overtime are planned.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
* Complete assembly, integration, & test tasks for MIV Boxer vehicles following instructions, drawings, and standards.
* Verify integrity of vehicle systems, sub-systems, and LRUs, including basic testing and fault diagnosis.
* Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Prepare technical reports and support Quality department activities.
* Follow health, safety, and environmental policies and ensure a safe working environment.
* Maintain a clean and organized workspace according to 5S principles.
* Ensure quality and traceability of work through documentation and self-certification.
* Perform crane operations and lifting tasks safely.
* Support logistics activities as needed.
* Work at other facilities or sites if required.
* Adhere to the company's code of conduct.
Qualifications Needed:
* Level 3 qualification in Engineering/Manufacturing or equivalent experience.
* Assembly experience in electrical or mechanical engineering environments.
* Knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles.
* Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
* Understanding of quality control processes.
* Ability to work independently or in a team.
* UK MOD ‘SC’ security clearance (RBSL can sponsor if needed).
* Strong communication skills and team orientation.
* Motivated, disciplined, detail-oriented, with a good work ethic.
Desirable skills include experience in low-volume manufacturing, fault-finding in electrical/hydraulic systems, SAP knowledge, and holding a C Licence.
