Within the Employee Services team, sits the Payroll Team consisting of the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Supervisor and a Payroll Assistant. We are currently recruiting for a second Payroll Assistant post.

Your primary responsibilities will initially be focused on the Payroll tasks listed below, however you may be asked to occasionally provide cover for some HR administrative tasks.

The postholder must be able to work within tight deadlines and have resilience to manage pressure points during busy periods of the month, with the ability to process large volumes of payroll actions within limited timeframes.

The postholder will be given full training and support, with checklist and processes in place to support the postholder to undertake a range of different types of payroll actions (such as processing new starters, leavers, changes to terms and conditions, allowances etc). Once trained, the ideal candidate will be able to use their own initiative, to manage routine processes within the established processes, whilst using judgement and their experience to know when to escalate more complex actions.

This is a part-time post hours per week) although flexible working arrangements will be considered, subject to meeting the needs of the Senedd and its Members.

Key tasks:

* Work as a team member to correctly administer salaries, and pay-related allowances for Members of the Senedd, their Support Staff, Pensioners, and staff of the Senedd Commission (circa
* Responsible for the co-ordination between Payroll and HR, to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data.
* Process accurately new entrants, leavers, change of hours, pay-related allowances, increments, as well as temporary payments such as overtime and travel time.
* Process and monitor parental leave and special leave.
* Process deductions for employee benefits and pensions.
* Analyse and check various payroll reports, as well as creating reports such as employer costs and sustainability statistics.
* Responding to telephone and team inbox enquiries promptly, and efficiently, including queries relating to: Tax codes, childcare vouchers, pensions and overtime.
* Website and intranet media content management, including management of the Payroll/Benefits pages.
* Processing purchase orders, the payment of invoices, and recording expenditure accordingly.
* Maintain records, organising information, and maintaining systems for recording and retrieval for audit purposes.
* Check Travel and Subsistence claims and provide advice as necessary against the Travel & Subsistence Policy; prepare and process claims for payment via Business Central Finance system and update Excel spreadsheets.
* Providing administrative support for meetings, helping to compile and circulate agendas and papers, and acting as a note-taker.
* Liaising with various internal and external customers, such as Commission staff and senior officials.
* Undertaking general administrative duties related to the post, creating and updating documents such as organisational charts and ensuring that all relevant documentation is stored/recorded for audit purposes.
* Undertaking duties that are commensurate with the level of the post across the areas of Payroll and HR.

* Prosesu a monitro absenoldeb rhieni ac absenoldeb arbennig.
* Prosesu didyniadau ar gyfer buddion gweithwyr a phensiynau.
* Dadansoddi a gwirio adroddiadau amrywiol yn ymwneud â'r Gyflogres, yn ogystal â llunio adroddiadau megis costau cyflogwyr ac ystadegau cynaliadwyedd.
* Ymateb i ymholiadau dros y ffôn ac i fewnflwch y tîm mewn ffordd brydlon ac effeithlon, gan gynnwys ymholiadau'n ymwneud â'r canlynol: Codau treth, talebau gofal plant, pensiynau, a goramser.
* Rheoli cynnwys gwefannau a'r fewnrwyd, gan gynnwys rheoli tudalennau'r Gyflogres/Buddion.
* Prosesu archebion prynu, talu anfonebau, a chofnodi gwariant yn unol â hynny.
* Cynnal a chadw cofnodion, trefnu gwybodaeth, a chynnal a chadw systemau ar gyfer cofnodi ac adalw at ddibenion archwilio.
* Gwirio hawliadau Teithio a Chynhaliaeth a darparu cyngor yn ôl yr angen maen perthynas â'r Polisi Teithio a Chynhaliaeth; paratoi a phrosesu hawliadau drwy'r system cyllid Business Central a diweddaru taenlenni Excel.
* Darparu cymorth gweinyddol ar gyfer cyfarfodydd, helpu i lunio a dosbarthu agendâu a phapurau, a gweithredu fel un sy'n cymryd nodiadau.
