Your new role
The Head of Study Programme + Quality &pliance Lead is a pivotal leadership role within a leading Post-16 Provision, with full responsibility for the strategic direction, growth, operational delivery, and quality assurance of the provision. Reporting directly to the Operations Director and Board, you will attend monthly Board meetings and lead the Senior Management Team, including responsibility for SMT performance reviews.
You’ll also act as a visible leader across the wider team andmunity, taking ownership ofpliance processes and regulatory standards, and serving as the organisation’s Ofsted Nominee to ensure the provision meets all expectations set by the Department for Education and Awarding Organisations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide visible, hands-on leadership across the provision, fostering a culture of inclusion, ambition, and continuous improvement
2. Full responsibility for the strategic direction, growth, and operational delivery of the provision
3. Take ownership of quality andpliance processes, acting as the OFSTED Nominee
4. Represent the provision in external partnerships and regulatory relationships
5. Drive sustainable growth and innovation across the provision
6. Collaborate with curriculum managers and the wider SMT to deliver high-impact education and training
What you'll need to succeed
We’re looking for a confident and forward-thinking leader with a proven track record in post-16 education. You’ll be someone who can inspire teams, advocate for learners, and drive strategic growth.
You will bring:
7. Substantial experience in leading quality andpliance within FE or Independent Training Providers
8. A background in curriculum design and delivery for the 16–19 Study Program
9. Experience managing teaching staff and support services, with a strong grasp of DfE standards
10. A deep understanding of the needs of high-needs learners, including those with EHCPs
11. Previous involvement in OFSTED inspections, ideally as a nominee or department lead
12. Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to present to senior stakeholders and external bodies
