About the Role
The Office of Data & Analytics (ODA) Test Engineer is an important role as the Trust leads up to and delivers the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) implementation.
The ODA Test Engineer will play an integral role in the Trust’s EPR implementation and the ODA’s Analytics Evolution, which are happening simultaneously.
Main Duties
The ODA Test Engineer will take a professional approach to ensuring key submissions and reports are reflective of the truth and will provide evidence to support this.
The ODA Test Engineer will work with the wider ODA EPR squad across the associated EPR work streams, providing professional testing throughout. The ODA Test Engineer will provide clear evidence, validity scores, and recommendations for next steps.
To support the Office of Data and Analytics with this journey, the ODA Test Engineer will need to:

* Be pragmatic
Qualifications
Essential person specification requirements:
* Degree or ability to demonstrate equivalent level of experience
* Testing qualification or ability to demonstrate equivalent experience
Experience
* Substantial experience of using Microsoft SQL Server for testing purposes
* Experience of working to Agile/SCRUM methodologies
* Extensive experience of defect management processes from analysis and creation to closure and retest
* Extensive experience of testing phases throughout the software lifecycle, including regression testing
* Experience of working to and meeting deadlines
* Experienced in the complexities of working with a technical team
* Previous experience of working within an Information Department or alike
Knowledge And Awareness
* Knowledge and awareness of Data Warehousing, particularly within an NHS setting
* A strong background in collaborating and communicating with a wide range of technical and clinical stakeholders at all levels
* Analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
* Understanding of Data Protection, Caldicott Security and Confidentiality and Data Protection Act
