About The Role
On behalf of our client, a UK independent organisation in the aviation industry, we are currently recruiting for a Certifying Engineer to sign off routine maintenance, inspections and service bulletins on CFM56 and LEAP Series Aircraft Engines. Key Responsibilities
* Perform inspection, disassembly, repair, and reassembly of aircraft engines and components in line with approved procedures
* Certify completed work in accordance with regulatory requirements
* Ensure all maintenance activities meet airworthiness, safety, and quality standards
* Interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and engineering drawings
* Conduct fault diagnosis and implement corrective actions
* Complete and sign off maintenance documentation accurately and in a timely manner
* Support audits and ensure compliance with internal quality systems
* Liaise with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve technical issues
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
* Perform supplementary shop and housekeeping duties as required
* Ensure compliance with Health and Safety procedures as required
* Follow technical drawings/procedures as needed
* Keep relevant records updated
Essential Qualifications
* A recognised apprenticeship within the aircraft industry
* Previous experience gained working in an engine shop or aircraft MRO
* Ability to act as certifying staff for engine maintenance and release to service
* Experience performing maintenance on CFM, LEAP, V2500 engines is advantageous
* Competency to follow appropriate Aircraft Maintenance Manual and Engine Shop Manual procedures
* Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Procedures, EASA/FAA Part 145 requirements and procedures
* A sound computer literacy with basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Desirable Qualifications
* B1.1/C License holder
