BACKGROUND
A privately-held asset management firm is looking to recruit an Investment Administrator in Edinburgh, Scotland.
The firm is a well-established, successful organisation with a >10 year track record. The firm, whose investment activities are conducted through its Edinburgh office has a broad institutional client base.
OVERVIEW
The Investment Administrator is a crucial role in the smooth running of the investment administration group and by extension, the operations side of the firm. The varied nature of the role allows exposure to multiple business areas.
CANDIDATE REQUIRED EDUCATION / ATTRIBUTES
* This role is targeted at a new or recent graduate. Maximum one or two years industry experience will be considered.
* Graduate with a reasonable degree pass.
* Self-motivated, adaptable and has the ability to work well in a compact & high performing team
* Have a strong desire and willingness to expand knowledge
* Demonstrate accuracy and a high level of attention to detail within tight deadlines
* Problem solving skills and the ability to multi-task within deadlines
* Prepared to undertake a wide variety of tasks
ADVANTAGEOUS EDUCATION / ATTRIBUTES
* Exposure and knowledge of investment operational tasks
* Microsoft Excel
* Power BI
* Exposure to working with programming concepts and languages
* CISI IOC qualification
HOURS
Standard hours for this role will be 8:30am to 5:30pm, with an hour for lunch. Flexibility is required for the occasional longer day. The expectation would be that at least, for the first 1 or 2 years, the successful candidate would be office based 5 days a week (allowance for ad hoc flexibility).
