We are looking for an experienced General Counsel to lead our legal function and support the company’s continued global growth. This is a senior leadership role providing strategic legal guidance to the Executive Team and Board while ensuring the business operates in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The General Counsel will oversee all legal, regulatory, governance and commercial matters across the organisation, supporting Perspectum’s mission to transform healthcare through advanced technology and data-driven insights. The Role As General Counsel, you will act as the principal legal advisor to the business. You will work closely with the executive leadership team, manage legal risk, support corporate governance, and lead the internal legal function. You will also partner with teams across the company to ensure legal frameworks support innovation, commercial growth and international expansion. Your duties will include: Provide strategic legal advice to the Executive Team and Board on corporate governance, risk and compliance When needed, serve as Company Secretary, coordinating board meetings, governance processes and shareholder communications Lead all corporate legal matters including international corporate structures and filings Manage and negotiate complex commercial agreements with healthcare providers, academic institutions and pharmaceutical partners Oversee the company’s intellectual property portfolio, including brand protection and infringement matters Advise on regulatory and legal issues relevant to healthcare, medical devices and software Manage the company’s litigation risk and dispute resolution Develop and maintain relationships with external legal advisors Lead and develop the internal legal team, ensuring efficient legal operations and strong governance frameworks Monitor legal and regulatory developments and provide guidance to the business Full job description can be found under 'Information' on the right hand side of this screen. About You We are looking for a commercially minded legal leader who thrives in a fast-moving, innovative environment. You must have: Qualified Solicitor or Barrister Substantial post-qualified experience in a senior capacity in corporate or commercial law Experience working in-house, ideally in life sciences, healthcare, or technology Strong experience with corporate governance, commercial contracts, and legal risk management Knowledge of intellectual property law and protections Experience managing legal teams and external counsel Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills Although not essential, it would be desirable if you have experience working with healthcare, pharma, or medical technology organisations and/or international legal experience, particularly across the UK and US About Us All our benefits information can be found in the downloadable Benefits document under 'Information' on the right hand side of this screen.
