Role: Applications Engineer
Location: Actemium Automation Nottingham - Office (Ilkeston) & Home based
Hours: Full-Time, 37.5hrs per week, Flexible Hours
Salary Range: £50,000 to £60,000 (depending on experience)

Actemium Automation Nottingham is seeking a talented individual to join our dynamic team.
About the role
As a Tendering Engineer at AA Nottingham, you will play a crucial role in our project lifecycle. This customer-focused role involves creating new tenders, sourcing directly, and collaborating with Project Managers.
Main Responsibilities
* Client communication: Engage with clients during the tender process, address queries, and ensure clarity.
* Cost estimation: Analyze project requirements, evaluate costs, and provide detailed estimates.
* Technical understanding: Understand client specifications and translate them into effective technical proposals.
* Risk assessment: Identify potential risks and propose mitigation strategies.
* Preparing and submitting tenders: Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to create competitive and accurate tender proposals.
The Person
* Engineering background: Degree in Electrical or related field.
* Proven experience: In tendering, preferably in automation, but open to other engineering projects.
* Understanding of automation: Particularly Allen Bradley and Siemens industrial control systems.
* Attention to detail: Ability to analyze complex requirements and create precise proposals.
* Communication skills: Good interpersonal skills and willingness to learn new skills and knowledge.
