Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling and installing towbars. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. As a Fitter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all installations meet safety and performance standards.
Duties
* Interpret technical drawings and schematics to understand assembly requirements.
* Assemble and fit components using hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
* Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards.
* Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot issues during the fitting process.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment used in the fitting process.
* Willing to work outside of the normal hours and weekends
Skills
* Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
* Strong mechanical aptitude with at least 3 years of experience in fitting towbars.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a workshop environment is advantageous.
* Good communication skills are required to liaise effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
* Great timekeeping skills
* Knows how to use a phone and a booking system.
