Key Responsibilities
1. Start your day in store and be responsible for:
* Checking delivery routes for the day.
* Loading and preparing your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are together for efficient delivery.
* Completing vehicle safety checks, maintaining road compliance, health, and safety standards.
* Representing the Waitrose brand with excellent customer service on the road.
* Helping customers with their shopping and building rapport based on trust and service.
* Supporting the wider shop team with general shopkeeping tasks when required.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Full valid B-Category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Good time management skills.
* Ability to cope with physical requirements, such as lifting crates and moving cages.
* Ability to work independently, self-motivated, and adaptable.
* IT literacy.
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Previous experience in a driving role.
* Knowledge of chilled vehicles.
Role Overview
As a Customer Delivery Driver, you'll deliver Waitrose products directly to customers' doors, embodying our ethos of passionate Partners serving food lovers. When not on the road, you'll support the shop team with stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to an efficient and friendly shop environment.
Work Schedule: Part-time, 7.5 hours per week, with varied hours across seven days, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.
