Company
Omnis Partners is working with a profitable, PE‑backed media & technology company building in‑house engineering capability around a live, revenue‑critical data platform.
Role Overview
This is a senior, hands‑on role focused on running, improving and scaling a complex cloud data environment as ownership moves in‑house.
The Role
Working closely with the Lead Architect, you’ll take responsibility for the day‑to‑day health of the platform.
* Operate what’s live.
* Improve performance and cost.
* Increase reliability and observability.
* Support the transition from third‑party suppliers.
What You’ll Own
* Production Snowflake data warehouse
* Data pipeline reliability and correctness
* AWS infrastructure, cost and performance
* Clean rooms and data collaboration workflows
* CI/CD, monitoring and operational standards
* Clear documentation and runbooks
Technology You’ll Work With
* Snowflake
* AWS (Lambda, S3, Glue, RDS, IAM, VPC)
* Terraform
* GitLab
* AWS‑native monitoring and security tools
Who You’re a Senior Cloud or Data Engineer
* Senior Cloud or Data Engineer in a cloud‑native environment.
* Have operated Snowflake at scale in production systems.
* Care deeply about reliability, performance and cost control.
* Are comfortable in environments where systems are evolving.
* Enjoy hands‑on responsibility rather than pure design work.
* Like being early into teams and shaping how things are done.
Why It’s Worth a Look
This is a real platform, already generating revenue. The problems are practical, not theoretical. You’ll have clear ownership and direct influence. If you want to be close to the system, close to decisions, and help build a proper in‑house engineering function around a live data product this role offers that opportunity.
