Role Overview The Finance Manager will own the day-to-day management accounting operations of the group and will be responsible for building and nurturing the talents of the wider finance team. An experienced and motivated individual, the Finance Manager will manage the accounting and property management system, and ensure financial data is robust to facilitate the quality of reporting. Key Responsibilities Managing the day-to-day operations of the management accounting function to ensure smooth running of the team Identify and implement process improvements with the objective of improving controls and efficiencies. Managing cash card system, ensuring bank reconciliations are carried out and preparing income forecasts to feed into cashflow forecasting and to monitor cashflow Managing the accounting and property system data by testing input and output of system changes before adding them to the live database, raising any technical issues and managing new users to ensure the platform is robust and well controlled Reviewing balance sheet items and intercompany balances, raising internal recharges and overseeing preparation on monthly accruals and prepayments to ensure financial reporting is robust Preparing monthly management accounts to a high standard. Prepare all balance sheet reconciliations. Team management including performance and development reviews and conducting training to ensure the team is performing at its strongest Assist in the annual audit and preparation of audit files. Prepare annual budgets and challenge departments to achieve targets. Provide high quality MI and detailed commercial financial analysis to support decision making. Ad-hoc work as directed by the Chief Financial Officer and Financial Controller.
