About the role At Sulzer, we specialise in delivering top-tier service to our customers across the oil & gas, power generation, and renewable sectors. With our recent £1 million investment, our Ellon facility is now a Centre of Excellence, providing cutting-edge support for electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, and turbo-compressors. We are looking for a skilled Gas Compressor Technician to join our team. As a Gas Compressor Technician, you will be working directly on the repair, overhaul, and maintenance of gas compressors. You will play a key role in ensuring that our customers' equipment is serviced to the highest standards, meeting industry specifications and maintaining operational efficiency Your Main Tasks and Responsibilities: Disassembling, inspecting, and rebuilding gas compressors and their components Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults in a variety of compressor types Precision fitting, machining, and assembly work as required Performing dynamic and functional testing on overhauled equipment Collaborating with engineering and quality teams to ensure compliance with technical specifications Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in line with HSE requirements To succeed in this role, you will need: Experience in the overhaul and maintenance of gas compressors or similar rotating equipment Proficiency in mechanical fitting, assembly, and fault diagnosis Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals Good communication skills and a proactive attitude to teamwork Awareness of Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations What we offer you Competitive basic salary. 33 days of annual leave.
