Education and Qulaifications
Essential criteria
1. •Degree in Occupational Therapy and membership of Health Professions Council
2. •Appropriate MSc or equivalent experience
3. •Specialist experience in working with adults with physical disabilities, encompassing knowledge and treatment of palliative conditions
Desirable criteria
4. •Appropriate MSc or equivalent experience
5. •Advanced communication skills training
6. •Psychology Level 2 training •
Skills, abilities and attributes
Essential criteria
7. •Ability to work autonomously with evidence of CPD and self-directed learning
8. Ability to demonstrate experience of identifying, implementing and monitoring of service development in line with national guidelines
9. •Ability to clearly define and promote the Occupational Therapy role as an autonomous worker within a multi-disciplinary team setting
10. •An ability to communicate appropriately and sensitively with patients and carers facing loss death and bereavement
11. Proven ability to identify, develop and implement risk management and clinical governance systems
12. Proven ability of engaging service users in developing a service which reflects the diverse need of the community.
13. •Proven ability to provide specialist palliative care training to other professionals, students and other OTs.
14. Current driver's licence
