Hunter Community Health Centre, Andrew Street, East Kilbride G74 1AD
Admin Team Member Vacancy – 37.5 hours per week, shifts between 8am & 6pm. Salary commensurate with experience. Opportunity to join the contributory NHS Pension scheme.
Our ideal new team member will be enthusiastic, motivated and highly organised, who should be experienced and confident working in a public facing role. Whilst a background in a health care setting would be a bonus it is not essential as full training will be provided to the applicant we feel best fits our team.
This is a very busy and often challenging role, which requires a resilient personality that can demonstrate courtesy and respect to all colleagues, patients and outside agencies. You will work well as a team member and will happily take instructions and directions from a number of senior colleagues.
Responsibilities
* Reception and call handling
* Processing prescriptions, scanning, typing of referrals and data entry
* Handling of sensitive documents and filing
* Other administrative duties to aid the smooth running of the practice.
Our base is within Hunter Community Health Centre, a modern 4 storey building in the middle of East Kilbride, sharing the building with four other GP practices, a DN team, treatment room, dentists, pharmacists and more. We are a training practice with seven GP partners, three ANP/PNs, GP trainees and an experienced, skilled administrative team. We provide general medical services for over 10,000 patients in our local community.
The “front of house” nature of this position means it is not suitable for home-working and because our normal business hours are 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday we will be unable to accept applications from those looking for specific hours such as school hours or term time. The successful candidate must offer a great degree of flexibility to cover staff rota’s including colleague leave. On rare occasions there may be some working hours or training required outside of the above hours.
Qualifications
• Experience in a public facing role, preferably in a health care setting (but not essential). • Highly organised, motivated and resilient with the ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions from senior colleagues.
