Sexual offence examiner

Southampton
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust
Posted: 19 August
Offer description

Treetops SARC supports people of all ages across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight who have experienced rape or sexual assault. From April 2025, the service will relocate to a purpose-designed, refurbished building in Fareham. The centre operates 24/7, 365 days a year, with on-call crisis workers and sexual offence examiners providing out-of-hours cover.

Sexual offences have a profound impact. A timely, high-quality forensic medical examination can support recovery, address patient concerns, and help preserve critical evidence--should the patient choose to involve the police.

Treetops provides dedicated, trauma-informed care focused on physical and emotional wellbeing. Our Sexual Offence Examiners combine clinical expertise with forensic accuracy to support patients and ensure the integrity of any evidence gathered, reducing the risk of miscarriage of justice.

We are seeking doctors who are committed, compassionate, and driven by a sense of justice to join our team. Full training will be provided.

A DBS check and Hampshire Police vetting are required. Postholders must have lived in the UK for at least three years to meet vetting requirements.
