We’re looking for a visionary Monitoring & Evidence Manager to lead the way in transforming ecological data into powerful insights that drive decision making, influence policy, and inspire change. This is a unique opportunity to work across some of the most ecologically significant landscapes in the region, ensuring our reserves are not only protected but thriving.
Responsibilities
* Lead and inspire a team of consultants, staff, and volunteers in gathering ecological data across our nature reserves.
* Oversee monitoring and reporting of key metrics to assess habitat condition and long-term benefits to wildlife.
* Integrate external evidence and cutting-edge research into our management plans, ensuring decisions are grounded in the best available science.
* Coordinate annual KPI reporting to inform our Senior Leadership Team and Board of Trustees.
* Engage with stakeholders including governing bodies and NGOs to meet statutory monitoring requirements.
* Maintain and enhance data systems, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and the integration of new datasets.
* Collaborate across teams to identify opportunities for improved data collection and analysis.
* Manage spatial data using GIS, ensuring our maps and records are robust and up to date.
* Support Trust-wide data visualisation, helping bring our conservation impact to life for reporting, communications, and advocacy.
* Establish research partnerships, driving innovation and expanding our evidence base.
* A strategic thinker with a deep understanding of ecological monitoring and evidence-based conservation.
* Proven experience managing complex datasets and GIS systems.
* A collaborative leader who thrives on working with diverse teams and stakeholders.
