We are recruiting for a Transport Supervisor on a Night Shift in the Andover area.
About the Transport Supervisor Role:
* Working hours are Monday to Friday, 22:00-06:30
* Salary is £33,500K per annum
* Permanent role
* Based in Andover area
Duties & Responsibilities for the Transport Supervisor role:
* Ensure all internal & external customer requirements are met daily
* Co-ordinate own fleet and sub-contract vehicles
* Day to day management of drivers
* De-briefing of drivers daily
* Assist with the development of the team, providing skills and training to meet operational requirements and improve efficiency
* Provide out of hours support for customers and drivers (as required)
* Conduct regular driver / vehicle / trailer checks
* Use of in-house TMS
* Manage driver training program to include Driver CPC
* Work with CPC Holders to ensure all VOSA 'Operator Licence' legislative requirements are adhered to and meet full compliance with internal processes and procedures
* Arrange maintenance of vehicles
* Reporting / recording of drivers hours, vehicle defects, Tacho infringements etc
Skills / Experience required for the Transport Supervisor role:
* Knowledge of the Transport industry
* General IT literacy, including Excel, Word etc
* Professional qualification e.g. CPC or willing to undertake training
* Self-motivated with ability to work under own supervision
* Team player
* Ability to co-ordinate a variety of tasks simultaneously
* Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
* The ability to establish and maintain good working
