We’re seeking a Shift Leader for our Residential Care provision, to join our inspiring team in supporting our students aged 9-25. You’ll be part of a team supported by our Head of Care and Deputy Care Manager, leading our skilled care teams to ensure our 37 bed residential flats at the academy are well run. You’ll be skilled in leading a team of staff, creating a positive team culture, and ensuring high levels of care to our young people. You’ll support our safe culture, ensuring processes and records are managed promptly and accurately, including safeguarding and the supervision of your team. You’ll also be ensuring that all that we do enables our young people to thrive.
The residential care team is a mix of hearing and Deaf staff, who work together to give the best outcomes for students. The Shift Leader position is a fulltime 6 month maternity cover, working during term time and part of a rota of shift work, including evening and weekends - a separate payment for sleep‑ins is claimable for this role, which is the equivalent of around £4,500* a year.
