<div><h3>Lead for Healthcare Professional Education Quality & Governance CTMCLA</h3><p><b>The closing date is 29 June 2026</b></p><p>This is a new role in the CTM Clinical Learning Academy. Open to applications from registered health care professionals, the postholder will be a key member of a senior management team, able to ensure robust education systems and processes through planning, design, implementation and continuous monitoring and management of the Education Quality Systems and Governance for the CTM Clinical Learning Academy, ensuring clinical educational activity across CTMUHB meets the appropriate requirements including those set out by Health Care Professional regulatory bodies, Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW), Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) and Welsh Government and embedding the Duty of Quality Health and Care Quality Standards (2023).</p><p>This will include educational governance and safety, educational audit, education quality and effectiveness and continuous quality improvement to ensure that CTMCLA educational services are designed to provide maximum value and impact to improve the health of the population of Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB.</p><p>The post holder will provide strategic and operational registered health care professional specialist knowledge to the CTM Clinical Learning Academy, with responsibility for assuring that the learning and development of the health care professional workforce aligns to current and future workforce needs. It will influence the development of innovative educational and learning practice resulting service improvement.</p><h3>Main duties of the job</h3><p>The overarching requirement of this post is to ensure that all aspects of quality relevant to the education and development of clinical healthcare professionals are maintained and enhanced, embedding continuous improvement whilst ensuring the effective and efficient management of human, financial and physical resources.</p><p>The post holder will have the skills and ability to promote quality within education and development using modern methods of quality management and ensure quality and process control are central to effective services.</p><p>The post holder will be responsible for developing and ensuring quality management systems for the following areas:</p><ul><li>Compliance with legislation and regulation</li><li>Clinical Governance implications for education</li><li>Clear and measurable quality objectives aligned with the CTMCLA purpose.</li><li>Identification of trends and sharing learning from student, learner and educator experience.</li><li>Tracking and monitoring performance and identifying actions for improvement.</li><li>Ensuring actions for improvement are completed, including delivery of actions within action plans following service inspections.</li><li>Ensuring impact upon quality is captured in relation to education planning and organisational change.</li><li>Management of health and safety issues impacting upon CTMCLA.</li><li>Capture of effectiveness, value and impact of CTMCLA service.</li><li>Advanced practice and Independent prescribing assurance processes</li></ul><h3>Welsh Skills Desirable</h3><p>This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This does not mean essential; whilst the candidate doesnt need to have skills in Welsh, well consider it an advantage when short‑listing and selecting candidates. This isn’t fluency, just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health. For more information, see Welsh Language Guidance in the documents right at the bottom.</p><h3>Qualifications and Knowledge</h3><ul><li>Healthcare professional with Registration with appropriate Regulatory body.</li><li>Highly developed Specialist knowledge of professional education and clinical governance.</li></ul><h3>Experience</h3><ul><li>Significant experience in a leadership and management role in large complex organisation.</li><li>Experience of Quality Improvement within a multi‑professional environment.</li></ul><h3>Skills and Attributes</h3><ul><li>Innovative with Clinical Credibility.</li><li>Demonstrates high emotional intelligence, leadership and communication skills.</li><li>Welsh language skills in Speaking/Listening at Level 3 or above.</li></ul><h3>Disclosure and Barring Service Check</h3><p>This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.</p><p>Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board</p></div>
