We are seeking a Senior Commercial Excellence Analyst to play a critical role in enabling data‑driven decision making across Abbott Nutrition UK. Sitting within the Commercial Excellence function, this role partners closely with cross‑functional stakeholders to transform complex data into clear, actionable intelligence that supports business performance, efficiency, and growth.
Working closely with the Business Intelligence Manager, you will lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced Power BI solutions, support major analytical projects, and help shape the future of business intelligence capability as we continue our transition to Power BI.
This role is ideal for an experienced analyst who is technically strong, commercially minded, and confident influencing stakeholders through insight.
Key responsibilities
1. Lead business requirements and solution design sessions to define, prototype, and deliver new Power BI dashboards and analytical solutions
2. Design, build, test, and deploy critical Power BI reports, ensuring strong user adoption and high data quality
3. Partner cross‑functionally to improve business decisions through effective use of data and insight
4. Own and maintain data governance processes, ensuring reports and datasets meet due‑diligence and compliance standards
5. Create and maintain technical and solution design documentation
6. Manage code migration across development, testing, and production environments
7. Collaborate with local IT teams to design and optimise database objects (tables, views, indexes) for performance
8. Lead large analytical projects, delivering milestones on time and to agreed scope
9. Provide continuity support for monthly dashboard refreshes and critical reporting cycles
10. Ensure third‑party data providers deliver value for money
11. Maintain the highest standards of data integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality
Essential:
12. Degree‑level education (ideally with modules in computer science, data analysis, statistics) or equivalent relevant experience
13. Strong, demonstrable experience delivering end‑to‑end Power BI solutions across multiple data sources
14. Advanced expertise in Power Query and data modelling within Power BI
15. Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
16. Ability to translate complex analysis into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders
17. Comfortable working autonomously in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
18. Strong attention to detail with a track record of producing high‑quality, error‑free outputs
19. Experience transitioning from QlikView / QlikSense to Power BI
20. Technical experience with tools such as SQL Server, Alteryx, R, VBA, JavaScript, or similar
21. Exposure to predictive analytics techniques
22. Experience working with healthcare and pharmaceutical data, including IQVIA, NHS ePACT, or Salesforce data
