Here at Oxford Community Leisure Trust and our partner Serco Leisure Operating Ltd, our goal is to get more people, more active, more often. We provide affordable access to a wide range of sports and leisure facilities to support healthier and happier people across the local community. To deliver those services takes an enthusiastic and customer‑focused team – and we are looking for a Duty Manager to join the centre. As the Duty Manager, you will lead, manage and be responsible for the day‑to‑day operation of the facilities in and around the leisure centre site, ensuring all activities are delivered to a high standard with safety as the first priority. You will support, manage and develop our team of lifeguards and supervisors across the site and build positive relationships with onsite partners, guests and neighbours so that our customers receive a memorable experience.
The successful candidate will be a passionate and enthusiastic individual who, like the rest of our team, takes pride in providing the best service possible for those who visit the centre and goes the extra mile for customers when needed. We look for candidates with prior experience in face‑to‑face customer service, preferably in the leisure industry and ideally with operational management experience. It is desirable that you hold a National Pool Lifeguard certificate (NPLQ) and that you hold a Pool plant operator’s certificate and a First Aid at Work certificate (training can be provided to a suitable candidate).
